Scientifically literate Christians, does creationist dishonesty cause some people to go to Hell?

Sounds like a Catch 22 for Christians. If they try to be honest about science, they risk contradicting their creation passages in Genesis (unless they read it metaphorically). If they go with the creation story, they have to resort to lying about science. Either way, they risk breaking one of the rules of their religion.
